Project Overview
- Public Works
The Fowler Fire Department is a voluntary department that serves the unincorporated City of Fowler, California. This emergency response team provides fire suppression services, prevention, and medical services to the public. The 6,515 square foot facility sits of .34 acres and is comprised of 3 apparatus storage bays, an administration office space, a laundry room, and full kitchen for the crew to utilize. The new building was designed to capture the look of a modern fire station found in a big city, however, this increased the immediate project costs. Klassen’s team worked with the architect and owner to utilize value engineering to cut project cost while still maintaining the overall look of the facility that the City desired.
